Everyone knows that Urban Decay produce some of the best eyeshadows a girl can get her hands on. I think I have at least five palettes and a few singles knocking around my stash. But if you pushed me to pick my second favourite product it would have to be their 24/7 eyeliners. I have quite a stash of these as you can see (bronzey brown Smog is my favourite!) so I was very excited when Urban Decay kindly sent me their new 24/7 waterline eyeliner for review, I did a lot of oohing and ahhing when I opened the package.

When I’m heading for a night out I tend to play up my eyes and love something a bit dramatic. I would always line my waterline but as we all know this tends not to last too long, for me especially as I wear contact lenses so my eyes are either super watery or dry. I probably get about 30 minutes before all trace of liner in my waterline is gone and need to keep topping it up.

I was delighted to give this new liner a try. It promises to be even creamier than the original pencils and that once you apply it it doesn’t budge. This shade Rail is described as brown but it’s very close to black for me. This doesn’t go on quite as pigmented on the waterline as I thought it might, I had to go over twice to get this to the full colour you can see below but it goes on perfectly around the lash line. The great news was that I got about four hours before this liner started to budge on my waterline. It didn’t move at all from my lash line until I went in with my heavy duty Clinique eye makeup remover.

I think the waterline pencils are a great addition to the 24/7 liner range if you’re looking for something a bit dramatic and long lasting. These are great pick for the Christmas party season. The pencils come in five shades – Legend (black), Push (navy), Rail (brown), Mood (charcoal) and Street (green). I’m eyeing up Mood for definite. They’re very generous sized pencils and cost just €18.99 from your nearest Urban Decay counter in Debenhams or House of Fraser in Dundrum.
