Top 10 Beauty Tag!

Top 10 products coverIt’s been so long since I’ve written a Tag post. I really like them though as it’s a great way get you thinking about your beauty stash. I was tagged by the lovely Leanne over at Blather and Beauty to do this one – you can see her post here. For this tag you pick your top 10 makeup products and after a LOT of  deliberation here’s what I’ve picked…

Foundation – Revlon Colourstay – I’m like such a broken Record with this one! I’ve been using this for years and am yet to find a foundation that gives me the same results. I’m sure one exists but I just find foundation shopping so hit and miss, it would be hard to beat this. It gives great coverage that lasts all day without drying out my skin. And it’s not too pricey at €18.

Concealer – Rimmel Wake Me Up – I just love this concealer! It’s really best for covering dark spots and areas of redness. It’s got a slight highlighting quality so I wouldn’t use this to cover spots but it works perfect for under they eyes. It’s cooling and moisturising, it really is perfect to wake up your eyes in the morning! It’s also another bargain at €7.

Powder – Hourglass Ambient Lighting in Diffused Light – I just hit the pan on this this week and I’m gutted because it means my lovely product is coming to an end! This powder gives skin a lovely soft glow and helps foundation stay in place. I just love it! It’s not cheap at €40 but it’s such a staple I think it’s worth spending on.

Bronzer – Catrice Matte Bronzer – I think Catrice is one of my favourite budget brands. This bronzer is just perfect for me, it’s not too dark and there isn’t a hint of shimmer or glitter. It’s also a bargain at just €5.

Eyebrows – Rimmel Brow This Way – This product was a little revelation to me. I have quite dark eyebrows and I don’t tend to fill them in unless I’m heading out for the night. This product is great though for day to day brow grooming. You just run it over your brows to add a bit of colour and keep them in place. A great little product for just €5.50.

Eye Shadow – Makeup Revolution Flawless Palette – This is my current palette of choice but that will probably have changed by next week! I do love a good eyeshadow palette. This is another winner for Makeup Revolution with a good variety of brown, coppers, golds and a few unusual shades thrown in. Best of all this palette costs just €8 for 32 eyeshadows.

Eye Pencil – Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On eye Pencil in Smog –  I love the Urban Decay pencils and have quite a few of them. I’m loving this copper based shade at the moment, it’s perfect for autumn. These are so soft and go on really easily with minimal smudging. They’re a little pricey at €19 but are a good investment.

Blusher – Makeup Revolution Blush Palette in Hot Spice – I have much love for Makeup Revolution, their products are great quality at such affordable prices. This palette contains a selection of coral toned shades. I love one shade in particular – third from the left on the bottom row. It’s a beautiful coral. The whole palette costs just €7.50, bargain!

Top 10 products lip

Highlighter – Benefit High Beam – I’m a long time fan of this highlighter. It just suits my pale skin perfectly. It goes on really easily and lasts ages. I’ve had this little pot that I got in a set for ages, a little goes a long way. This full size of this product costs €27.50 but the big pot would last you years!

Lipgloss – Max Factor Lipgloss in Enchanting Coral – I’m more of a lipgloss girl than a lipstick girl which is very untrendy I know! I’m loving this Max Factor gloss. It’s so pretty and goes on really light on the lips with no stickiness. The light coral colour is right up my street as well.

So there you have it my top 10 beauty products at the moment. But as we know my faves change very regularly. I think I might repeat this post for skincare. I also Tag anyone who wants to do this post, it’s good fun!!

It was a difficult decision! I buy my makeup revolution bits from their website makeuprevolutionstore.com they ship to Ireland for €5. But I see lovelygirlybits spotted a stand in the Superdrug in Omni Santry I think. I can’t recommend their stuff enough!

I love all the makeup revolution palettes. Should I buy all. I have been using w7 eye shadow palettes but now falling in love with these. I’m finding now that w7 isn’t as pigmented as these
