The Un-Empties!

Still Full!Lots of bloggers like to post about their empties but today I am posting about my un-empties – now I know that’s not a word but I’m going to use it anyway! Ok so I need help… I was doing a spring (summer) clean of my bedroom and I got a bit of a shock. I have a box where I put all my body care/skincare products that I haven’t used yet and this is what’s in it!

My friends and family know I love beauty bits so I get a lot as presents and sometimes donations – thanks guys! I also have a spending problem and buy a lot of stuff I don’t always need straight away. But I have to say I got a shock when I saw just how much stuff I’ve accumulated.

I”m not sure why I keep buying body lotion (Aveeno is my favourite) because there are 5 separate body moisturisers and three little minis here that I haven’t even opened. I have a lovely Liz Earle one which I completely blanked even getting. There are also two exfoliators and I know there is another unopened one somewhere. I can’t wait to try the Soap and Glory Sugar Crush tho!

There’s a cute little Burts Bees suitcase to the right which has some cool little minis in it! I have a rake of Clarins stuff that i haven’t touched and a few face cleansers I’ve been meaning to try. What’s really sad is there is another little bag of face products but I was too embarrassed to include them as well!

I feel a little guilty having such a stash so I am officially putting myself on a beauty spending ban for the month of August. Feel free to hold me to this lovely readers! Also if you see anything here that you love let me know and I’ll start using it!

This is a good idea! I like to see what people have bought & that are waiting to be used. I haven’t bought any Soap & Glory products since they re designed their packaging. I like to get a few bits when they’re on 3 for 2.

I am currently doing up my ‘beauty room’ – it’s my spare room but I needed to move everything in there because my un-empties weren’t all fitting in one room anymore :( It’s terrifying when you put everything together yet I still can’t resist the lure of the latest cleanser or some makeup! I’ll be doing a spending ban for September in advance of the Beauty Show in October.

I have a box and call it my “shop” inspired by my mother who has the same thing :) As for your problem, I reckon you should do a give-away, rig it so I win, and then I can have all this stuff!!!! :P

I love this post! I think so many of us beauty lovers/bloggers are all the same when it comes to accumulating massive amounts of products we may never be able to use up. And although it’s great to have a nice collection or ‘stash’ of goodies, it can be very saddening to see lovely products get forgotten about and even potentially wasted. I think its a good idea to ‘shop your stash’ and rediscover some forgotten items every now and then. It’s something I’m trying to get better at doing. Oh and good luck with the spending ban! :-)

Thanks Hannah, I agree I’m going to try using up stuff I have now I’m on the spending ban! The ban is really highlighting how easily I get tempted by shiny pretty things!
