In 2015 I became truly obsessed with skincare and with cleansers in particular! I’ve now about 10 regularly on the go so I thought I’d share these with you and some speedy reviews. I have three main types of cleanser on the go, balms, creams and gels. I did have one pure oil cleanser in the mix but sadly that is all gone and I’m on the hunt for a new one – am eyeing up the new Elemis one. I’ve divided the speed reviews by the type of cleanser below. Where I’ve done a full review of the cleanser the link is in the name.
It’s rare that I purchase a product based on one of those tiny sachet samples that you get but this is one of them! I was going away for a night and took a small sample of this cleanser with me as I thought it’d do for a night away.
Agghhhhh it’s that time again! I’m so excited, I know loads of people aren’t big on Christmas but I just love it. It’s a real fun, cosy, warm the feet by the fire, family focussed time of year. One big part of course is the gifts! Every year I look forward to seeing everything that’s new in beauty land for Christmas and bringing you my pick of the Christmas beauty gifts. I’ll start at the higher end of the budgets this week and work towards the last minute stocking fillers. Below are my picks of the gifts for €50 or under…
I haven’t updated you on my skincare routine in a while. I find the cold weather and all the central heating is wreaking havoc with my skin at the moment. It looks permanently parched and isn’t helping the look of my foundation. I’ve been bringing out my moisture big guns in an attempt to parch my thirsty skin.
Well the temperature has gone over fifteen degrees in Ireland so summer has officially arrived! People go from complaining about the rain to complaining about the heat. I have skin with a touch of rosacea and a fair bit of redness so my skin doesn’t react too well to the heat. When I go on holidays I often get a rash from the sun on my face. So when the heat hits I am on mission to cool down my skin. Here is my current skin cooling routine.
I absolutely love the smell of the Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse, I sometimes apply the oil just for the smell of it. So I was jumping for joy when I heard Nuxe were bringing out a perfume with the famous Prodigieuse scent. Despite being on a spending ban I recently decided I just had to have it and copped that I had a voucher so I hotfooted it down to Arnotts.
Hopefully you had a chance to read my post on my favourite makeup products of 2013 here. At first I didn’t realise how budget friendly all my picks were but they were genuinely my favourites among many high end products. I’m not sure I’ll be able to say the same for my skincare picks here as I have quite expensive skincare tastes! But here are the products that really impressed me in 2013:
My poor skin always gets a bit of a shock when winter hits and I think because we had such a lovely summer my skin is super shocked this year! My lips especially seem to be having a hard time and are in a very dry state. I don’t normally get this and they feel quite uncomfortable. I mainly use the EOS lip balm which I do like but I felt I needed something a bit tougher. I had read numerous bloggers sing the praises of this Nuxe lip balm so I decided I’d give it a shot.
Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse is one of those hall of fame products that I had always been meaning to try but had never gotten around to buying. It was my birthday recently and my friend Niamh got me this as a pressie and I was da-lighta! It’s lovely to get something you’ve always been meaning to try. So I couldn’t wait to try it, here’s how I got on…
