If you follow my instagram you know I love a good bargain and just after Christmas I managed to get this MeMeMe Arch Angel and the MeMeMe Fallen Angel products together in a gift set for just €10. It would have been rude not to buy them! I’ve never tried anything by MeMeMe but their products do have a Benefit like vibe about them but come in at a cheaper price tag.
I’m probably the last to the party on this review. The Maybelline Colour Tattoos are a bit of a cult product among beauty bloggers. I bought one of these ages ago and I wasn’t too sure about it. The shade I tried was Eternal Gold and it had a slight glittery finish to it and I’m not a big glitter fan.
Sleek has very recently arrived in Ireland as there is now a counter in Boots Liffey Valley. You were always able to order it online but it’s super handy now. I was doing my big Christmas pressie shop in Liffey Valley and treated myself to a few bits from Sleek. I bought a lip balm, lip gloss and this palette.
Oh now I am sure I won’t be the only one writing about this as the ‘Favourite Eye Palette’ for the September Beauty Blog Challenge (find out more about this here). I tried to be all cool and original and find a different one that I love as much but I can’t really ignore it I’m afraid. If you love neutral eyeshadows and I don’t imagine there are many women who don’t, you have to own this, simple as. I am actually probably wasting my breath as you all probably already own this, ha ha
I love discovering a new brand, it doesn’t happen as often as I’d like. Mam and Dad were over in France recently on their Harley nonetheless, they live the life of Reilly those two! As they were in France I sent them on a beauty mission, I had them hunting down the La Roche Posay Serozinc which they failed to locate :(. But mam knows the way to my heart and picked me up some makeup instead. She found this shop called Nocibé which apparently is the rival in France to the much loved Sephora. They do all the usual branded beauty products as well as their own Nocibé range.
An oldie but a goodie as my mam would say. I think I’m on my fourth set of Benefit’s Big Beautiful Eyes. It’s just my failsafe, go to for my eyes. I think the colours are so flattering and soft and they go on lovely. The palette contains three shades to highlight and sculpt eyes. It also contains a pan of Benefit Bo-ing concealer in shade 2.
Ah I love me a bit of Urban Decay! Ever since the Naked palette exploded, I’ve been trying more and more of their products. I bought this Smoked Eyeliner set on sale in Debenhams for about €30. I think I bought this in April, so I’m not sure it’s still available but all of the shades are available separately so it’s worth a look!
The eyeliners are called 24/7 Glide on Eyepencils. They do last well but I’m not sure that you’d get the full 24 hours out of them. They’ll definitely last a night out on the town. I’m nervous about eyeliner as I wear contact lenses so sometimes my eyes can be watery. But these eyeliners last really well with minimal smudging. They do take some effort to remove. You’ll need a good eye makeup remover to get these off.
I do love a bargain and was very excited to see an Urban Decay palette pop up as a Groupon deal. It was half price at €18 and I think about 300 of them were sold of course and the deal sold out. What a bargain – did you get it? I now assume Urban Decay must be discontinuing it though because last time I checked it was half price on the US site. I thought I’d give it a road test anyway as a lot of the shadows are sold individually.
I do love Urban Decay eye shadows, they’re so strongly pigmented and they have such an amazing choice of colours. I own the original Naked Palette and a few of the single shadows and they never fail to impress.
