Sunday Catchup!

Sunday Catchup

Happy Sunday everyone, hope you’re having a nice relaxing day! Raging I missed the Irish Blog Awards last night but hope anyone there had a great time. For a bit of light reading of a Sunday I’ll give you a quick run through of what I’ve been writing about, other blog posts I’ve enjoyed and any beauty bits I’ve bought!

What I’ve been writing about this week…

I’m having a real skincare love in at the moment! I started the week with a review of the cult Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing balm. This is a very popular cleanser and now I can see why. It’s a really simple gentle cleanser that leaves skin feeling clean and soft. It’s nothing fancy it just does the job of getting your skin super clean!

This week I also shared my love for French brand Guinot. It’s a brand that doesn’t get much recognition as I think it has an old fashioned feel about it but it produces some really good skincare. The Masque Essentiel Nutrition Confort is the ideal mask for when your skin needs a quick freshening up. Love it.

Blog posts I’ve loved this week…

I loved EmeraldEyeliners post this week about her Tarte haul from the states. I especially love the look at the Rainforest After Dark Palette which is something I’ve been lusting after for a while. My sister tried to hunt this down for me in the states but it was sold out :-( So I still haven’t tried anything from Tarte, someday, someday…

I was curious about the No7 match made lipstick service as I was a bit skceptical when I first saw it. So I really enjoyed Makeup Over Minds thorough review of the service. It sounds like it might give you too many options for your skintone which wouldn’t suit me as I’m usless at making a decision!

Lisa over at Pink Sugar Sparkles posted a lovely selfie of herself earlier in the week and was inundated with questions about her foundation. This prompted her to write a review of the Kevyn Aucoin Sensual Skin Enhancer. It sounds like a gorgeous base and I’m really curious to try it. Lisa’s review is well worth a read and includes a discount code if you’re interested in buying it.

What I didn’t buy this week…

Well I’ll tell you a secret – sshhh – It’s my birthday today! 21 again, whoop! :-) Anyway I was very good this week and didn’t buy anything but my lovely friend Steph gave me an early birthday present yesterday and it contained some lovely Makeup Revolution goodies! I was squealing like a little kid opening all the bits. Can’t wait to show you the Flawless palette, it’s fabulous! I’m also expecting a bumper haul for next week as I’m off to the Pro Beauty show on Monday, let me know if you’ll be there!

Anyway hope you had a lovely weekend and enjoying your Sunday, I’ll hopefully be in a Birthday Cake coma soon! xxx
