So I’m sure like many of you I often shower in a hurry but even if I’m in a mad rush I can’t bear to not moisturise my skin. I can count on my hands the number of times I’ve just showered and gotten dressed without moisturising. My skin just doesn’t feel right if I don’t moisturise after showering. But it can be a bit of a pain, especially when you have to get dressed straight away. The worst is the gym when I have to try and get tights on after moisturising, there’s a lot of jumping around involved then!
So there have been a few nifty innovations of late in the area of speedy moisturising! Anything that makes moisturising quicker and easier in my book is a good thing so I thought I’d give you a quick run through of the latest products:
Nivea In Shower Moisturiser
First we have the much talked about In Shower Moisturiser from Nivea. To use this you have your shower as normal and use your shower gel to clean. Once you’ve rinsed off your shower gel you apply this in a similar way all over your body and then you rinse it off. Then just dry off and hey presto skin feels moisturised. I have the dry skin version of this and I think it really works, although I do find you have to use a good bit of it. It’s brilliant for after the gym when I have to get dressed straight away and so minimises my jumping around to get into my tights. I’ve heard rumblings that the normal version isn’t as good, so maybe try the dry version if you’re considering giving this a whirl. This is on sale for €2.56 in Boots at the moment, so it definitely won’t break the bank!
Vaseline Spray and Go Moisturiser
I remember years ago I used to have a spray on moisturiser, I think it was from The Body Shop, and I absolutely loved it. It’s just so handy. You apply this product after showering. It comes in a big – deodorant like can. And you simply just spray it on. It’s a great way to get moisturiser all over your body quickly. It’s a very fine mist but you still have to rub it in like you would a normal moisturiser but the process just seems much quicker with this. I got the cocoa butter version and it smells lovely as well. I’m a big fan of Vaseline moisturisers so I think I will be using this regularly. This costs €6.15 which I think is a little bit pricey but I’m sure there will be lots of offers with this in Boots.
Have you tried either of these? Or do you have any tricks for speedy showering?
