I spotted this on somebody’s blog/twitter ages ago but I can’t remember who it was! It’s been on my mind ever since, I just had to have it. My lovely nan who knows the way to my heart, gave me a Boots voucher for my birthday recently so I decided to treat myself to this set. It’s part of the ever popular Christmas gift selection from Soap and Glory. It’s a set of three powders in one very cute package called Powder Trip.
Updated 8pm 18/11: Sorry guys I got two of the shades mixed up on this, I updated it now, I clearly had a heavy weekend, apologies!!
The set contains three of Soap and Glory’s powders which are already sold solo. It contains a peachy highlighter called Glow All Out, the Solar Powder bronzer and Love at First Blush blusher. There is also a little dome shaped brush with the kit and a very large mirror on the inside of the box. The first thing that struck me about it was the size of the box, I actually thought it would be smaller in reality. For comparison It’s probably roughly the size of a normal mousemat. It’s not exactly travel or handbag friendly but it is very pretty.
Glow All Out is a nice peach shimmery highlighter. It’s a very subtle pale finish to give a nice warm finish to the face. I initially thought this was a blusher but it’s not it’s a very nice highlighter!
The Solar Powder will be a handy little set for contouring. There is a lighter and darker shade of bronzer. There is a little dusting of blue shimmer over the S&G logo but this wipes off after first use, it’s really just for decoration. The bronzers are nice matte shades with no hint of orange to them. They worked well for me as they’re not too heavily pigmented so I could build the colour as I wanted it.
The Love at First Blush, is a pinky toned blusher. The colours swirl together easily and it is fairly strongly pigmented. This also contains quite a bit of highlighter in it so it’ll work nicely if you’re going for a glowy look!
I do think this is a nice gift set for Christmas for somebody who likes their blushers/bronzers. The powders are good quality with everything you need to create a lovely glow. It’s a nice piece to have in your makeup collection. It costs €25 from Boots. Have you tried any of the Soap and Glory powders?
