My poor skin is having a woeful time at the moment. Sitting in an air conditioned heated office in the middle of winter is ruining my skin it’s so dry and itchy, I can’t seem to keep the moisture in it. I’m bringing out my skincare big guns to try and tackle the problem.
I got this mask as part of a triple set as a Christmas present. It’s a moisture injecting mask that contains avocado and apricot kernel oils. It also contains Japanese seaweed which promises to help long term hydration by repairing the skins barrier.
The mask has a fruity smell and a thick creamy texture. My skin is super sensitive at the moment so I do get a little tingle when I first apply this. I think it might be he fruit oils but it doesn’t visibly irritate my skin. This mask is designed to be worn overnight but my skin is so dry that this mask almost completely absorbs after about an hour.
The mask does leave skin feeling lovely and hydrated and my skin definitely feels plumper. The only thing I noticed is that this feeling only really lasts for a day or so. I’m not sure if that’s just because my skin is so bad at the moment or that the mask maybe doesn’t deliver quite enough hydrating benefits for me.
I do really like this mask and it’s a great pick for dry dehydrated skin but I think I’d like to have the benefits last a bit longer. I think I’d pick my La Roche Posay Hydraphase mask over this if I was buying again. This mask costs €30.50 so it’s a little on the pricey side. I’ve yet to try the other Origins masks I got but will put them to the test soon. Have you tried any of the Origins masks?
