I’ve been feeling far too spendy the last few weeks. Some of my friends are claiming I’ve only started this blog as an excuse to buy myself more stuff, how dare they! Seriously though I probably do need to reign it in a little. But before I do I thought I’d give you a quick peek of my recent haul.
For the first part of my haul I hit up a sale on the Illamasqua website. They were celebrating reaching a milestone on twitter by having a flash sale with 50% off everything, very exciting. I’d been meaning to try Illamasqua for so long, so this was the perfect opportunity. They’re so daring with their makeup and some of the photos they share on their Facebook page are just stunning. So inspirational for me as I tend to play it quite safe. Below is what I picked up:
Above is the blusher in Tremble, this normally costs €21. Illamasqua blushers get rave reviews so I’m really excited to try it. I also loved their recent paranormal collection but I didn’t go too mad and just picked up the UV glow nail varnish in Ouija (€18), I’ll bring you pics of this one soon, it’s lovely. I also snapped up the Complement eye palette (€40). This includes 3 shadows plus a liquid metal cream shadow.
The second phase of my haul is the lovely Sensational DIY gel manicure set below. My lovely roomie picked this up for me in New York for the bargain price of €50/$62! It costs about €100 here. I’m looking forward to trying it and I’ll write a detailed post for ya’ll.
The third phase of my haul involved a trip to boots. I had some coupons that were running out on Sunday so of course I must use them. I was like one of those women from Extreme Couponing at the till, my sister was morto! I had a coupon with 500 points (so €5) back when you spend €15 on makeup. I bought the No 7 BB Lip Gloss, that I’ve been hearing good things about and a Barry M nail varnish below.
I also picked up a 3 for 2 on skincare/body care and used my double points coupon, and a 250 points back when you spend €25 coupon with this – Sorry is the maths too complicated! I got the Avene Soothing Cream, the La Roche Posay Micellar cleanser and Nivea Q10 Cellulite serum below. Two of these products are repurchases so I’ll bring you reviews on them soon! All in all with my Boots Coupons I got about €10 back in points on a €50 spend, not too shabby and I got the serum free, worth €13.
Oh I just remembered I picked up the varnishes below in Penny’s. Beyoncé has yellow nails in her new video and they look pretty cool, so sure why not. The two cost less than a fiver.
Repeat after me, I must not spend, I must not spend! If you like the look of anything in particular let me know and I will road test it straight away!
