My Favourite Moisturising Face Masks

imageLast week I told you all about my favourite peeling face masks that help keep my skin smooth and glowy. I thought I’d continue the theme this week by bringing you my favourite moisturising face masks.  I have dry skin so a good moisturising mask is a staple of my skincare routine. Here are my top picks.

3 – Avene Soothing Moisture Mask

I have easily irritated skin that is very prone to redness. So I really need something that calms and soothes my skin when it flares up. That’s where this lovely comes in. It’s a creamy mask that is perfect for calming skin and leaving it feeling nice and moisturised while helping reduce any redness. This one costs €17.99 for a generous 50ml tube.

2 -La Roche Posay Hydraphase Intense Mask

The La Roche Posay Hydraphase range is great for dehydrated skin and this mask is no exception. What I really like about this is it leaves a lovely cooling sensation on the skin so it’s perfect for summer as well if your skin has had too much heat. After using it skin feels calm and hydrated. It’s also good value at €16.50 for 30ml.

1- Origins Drink Me Up Intensive Mask

I got this mask as part of a trio set as a Christmas gift and I just love it. It’s designed as an overnight mask. This does just what it says on the tin, my skin literally drinks it up. I put it on when I’m sitting around the house and let it absorb in. If it starts to feel a bit stiff I spray my face with water and rub the mask around again. My skin always feels bouncy and fresh after using this. It’s €30.50 but for a 100ml tube so is similar to the others, it’s a great investment for dry skin.

So they’re my top masks if your skin is feeling a little parched or inflamed. Let me know if you have any others you’d recommend!

Love Avene! I have oily/combination skin so am always on the lookout for anything with Kaolin clay to absorb the oil. My favourites are from Mario Badescu or the classic Dr Haushka clay mask. Love!

I’m a bit afraid of the clay type masks because I’m worried they’ll irritate my skin. I love Dr Haushka so must check out that one
