I feel the need to write about the fabulousness that is the Marks and Spencer beauty hall. If you’re lucky to have a large M&S close to you it might have a shiny looking beauty section. I’ve only seen them in the Liffey Valley, Grafton St and Henry St stores but I’m sure there are many others. They were revamped probably a few years ago now but I think they’re probably not really well known outside of the beauty junkie circles as a source for great brands.
I squealed with delight last week when I saw that they are now stocking Pixi the cult brand of glow tonic fame and other great products. Pixi joins a host of other great brands such as Nuxe, Ren, Rodial and Emma Hardie on the skincare side. You also have great makeup brands such as Stila, Diego Dalla Palma, Lola and Pur Minerals. There’s a treasure trove of nail products, bodycare and haircare. I usually find myself walking around oohing to myself. It all just feels a bit glam, this lies somewhere between everyday Boots and more pricey Space NK.
When I was in the Henry St store last Friday I noticed they had a fab free gift when you spend €35. I had a voucher so I treated myself to an Emma Hardie starter kit for €32 as I have yet to try her cult cleansing balm! I added in a Rituals foaming shower gel for €8 to make up the difference to get my free gift. Here’s what’s inside…
I can’t resist a free gift, this roomy cosmetics bag contains:
- Stila Lip Glaze in Banana Berry – full size worth €20
- Diego Dalla Palma Ciglione The Lash Booster Mascara – full size worth €23
- Pixi Shades of Brow brow powder trio – a mini size – can’t find a full size comparison
- Lola Lip Pencil in Tango – full size worth €13
- Eyelure Volume No 070 eyelashes – worth €7.49
- M&S Autograph Eyeshadow Palette – mini size probably worth €5
The value of the contents is hitting €80 and they’re all things I’ll definitely use and am excited to try. I’m particularly excited to try the Diego Dalla Palma mascara and the Lola lip pencil. I searched online and I couldn’t find when this promotion ends but there were a good few gifts when I was there last Friday, so it’s worth popping in if you’re interested! Are you a fan of the M&S beauty selection?
