I’m probably the last to the party on this review. The Maybelline Colour Tattoos are a bit of a cult product among beauty bloggers. I bought one of these ages ago and I wasn’t too sure about it. The shade I tried was Eternal Gold and it had a slight glittery finish to it and I’m not a big glitter fan.
I thought I probably hadn’t given them a fair run so I picked up the On and On Bronze Shade and I love it! In the pot it is a metallic taupey brown shade with a hint of gold to it. I love nothing better than an easy peasy eye routine and this pot of wonder is perfect for it. I simply dab my finger in the colour and pat it over my eyelids, a bit of eyeliner and mascara and my eyes feel done!
This also wears really well, I’d say I’d get a good 8 hours out of this without any movement or fading. Whereas the gold shade I mentioned earlier would fade after about 6 hours and leave a glittery finish behind it with little colour. It also doesn’t crease which is rare enough with creamy formulas like this, once you put this stuff on it doesn’t really budge. Below is how this shade looks on the lids. This also works as a great base for a darker/smoky eye and helps to keep powder shadow in place. I haven’t used anything but this for about a week now.
This product shows me that you can’t really judge all shades of a product the same. On and On Bronze is a great staple to have in your kit for a quick on the go eye look and all this for just €7.49. Have you tried any of the Colour Tattoos? I’d love to hear what other shades you’d recommend.
