Well if you haven’t heard me talk about Makeup revolution where have you been hiding? It’s a great range of quality but very affordable cosmetics. I’ve made two fairly large hauls and this blush palette is one of my favourite purchases.
There are two versions of this palette the pink toned Sugar and Spice palette and this coral toned palette. I cannot resist a coral blush so I had to get this one but it’s so good I think I’ll have to invest in the pink version. There are six shades of blush and two blended powders one of which is a highlighter and the other is more blusher like.
Annoyingly the blushes don’t have shade names so I will reference the top row from 1-4 above! Both 1 and 3 above have slight shimmers to them but they’re not glittery like. Shade 2 above is entirely matte, The highlighter has a lovely coral iridescence to it, I like using it on my eyes as well as the cheekbones.
I’m not keen on shade 1 from the bottom row above, it’s very orange toned and is heavy on the glitter. It might suit somebody with a darker skintone to me but it just doesn’t work for my pale Irish skin. The shade I’ve been using the most is shade 3 above. It’s just a perfect coral blush, I’ve made a substantial dent in the pan already! The final shade is also very pretty it’s a lighter coral blush with the highlighter sheen to it.
The blushes are great quality and have good staying power. I also love the compact this comes with as it has a massive mirror that’s great for applying your makeup on the go. They’re also cheap as chips as the whole palette costs £6 (€7.50). What do you think? Have you tried any blushes from Makeup Revolution?
