This is one product I’ve had in my stash for ages but only recently started to appreciate the benefits of. It’s a product that I think has a love it/hate it quality to it especially if you remember the photos of celebs with visible white powder on their nose like they’d been dabbling in some illegal powdered substances. If you haven’t heard of this powder before it’s a white colour translucent finishing powder. It’s designed to blur imperfections and slightly mattify skin.
I bought this ages ago in a Sephora and it’s the mini version of the powder. The powder itself is really fine, it’s kind of like similar consistency to flour. When I first used this I was using it all wrong. I used it like my normal translucent powder and dusted it all over my face. I wasn’t massively impressed with it as a result. I picked this up again recently and instead of applying it with a fluffy brush I used my ELF Studio Powder Brush. As you can see below this is a flat topped quite dense brush. I used this to buff the powder over my t-zone.
I really noticed the difference when I applied it this way, they should include more specific instructions on how to apply this maybe. It really does blur out pores and even skin tone without changing the colour of my foundation and it doesn’t look overly matte or flat. I really notice the difference in the mirror throughout the day, it has great staying power and just gives a lovely finish to my foundation.
So from being a bit dubious about it I now really love this product. This isn’t the cheapest powder at €34 for the full size but you only need a tiny bit to cover your face and I mainly just use it on my t-zone where I’m slightly oilier and have more visible pores. I’d love to hear your thoughts if you’ve tried this out.
