I haven’t bought anything from Lush in years. I’m not really sure why as I used to be a big fan. I just seemed to drop off my radar a little bit. At Christmas a lot of bloggers were writing about a limited edition lip scrub from Lush and ever since then I’ve had a Lush lip scrub on my wishlist.
I was strolling up Henry St on my lunch break and spotted the Lush store, I decided I’d finally pick up a lip scrub. There were a few varieties but I just couldn’t resist the sweetness of Bubblegum. As a teenager I was addicted to a bubblegum lip balm from boots that I almost used to eat and this scrub is no different.
The cold weather we’ve been having lately means I’ve never needed this scrub more, my lips have been so dry. The scrub is very simple and is made from Caster Sugar and Jojoba Oil, it also obviously contains the pink colour and bubblegum flavour. You could really make a scrub without the flavour at home but this is just too sweet to pass up.
It’s very gentle on the lips but does a great job of softening them. It just tastes too good though, I’m sure you’re not supposed to eat it but part of me just wants to dig in with a spoon. When I’ve used the scrub I liberally apply my Nuxe Reve du Miel lip balm and my lips couldn’t possibly get any softer.
The scrub costs €6.95 from lush. You only need to use a tiny bit though so I’m sure it’d last forever. It’s a great solution if your lips are really feeling the cold weather. Have you tried these?
