Oh I’m a bit of a sucker for a good beauty box. I think it brings me back to when you’re a kid and you get a lucky dip bag with lots of little treats in it. I haven’t signed up for many of the regular boxes where the treats are a surprise but I have bought every British Beauty Blogger box as I’ve known roughly what was in them – you can see all my reviews here. I think I saw a sneaky peek of the Look Fantastic November box on Instagram and I was immediately interested. It contains a few products I have wanted to try for a long time. Lets take a peek…
The first product I was most interested in was the Hand Chemistry hand cream. I read a review of this from British Beauty Blogger and I knew I had to have it. I’ve threatened to buy it a few times but never got around to it so I’m so happy I can finally put this through it’s paces. This cream contains 19.5% active ingredients and promises to increase firmness, smoothness and evenness. It’s a generous sample size of 30ml that is worth €8. I’ll report back on this one.
Eek this box also contains a generous sample of the cult Eve Lom cleanser. I love my skincare so am so excited to finally try this out without having to take the plunge for the full size. This cleanser contains chamomile, eucalyptus, cloves and hops (who knew!). It’s a generous sample at 30ml which works out at €21, which covers the cost of the box alone. I will definitely be putting this through it’s paces and see if it can beat my current favourite Clinique Take the Day Off Balm.
Another skincare win in this box is the sample of Glam Glow mud mask. I am beyond curious to see if this lives up to the hype as it’s a seriously pricey face mask. It’d want to be pretty good for me to fork out that much for it. I have quite dry skin so I’ll be interested to see how my skin reacts to it. Again this is a generous sample size at 15g (the usual pot is 50g) so this sample works out at a €16 value.
I love Nuxe products. I’m a big fan of the Huile Prodigieuse, I used their Fraiche serum for a while and it worked great for my skin. This box contains a sample of the Nuxellence Juenesse cream. It’s part of the Nuxe anti-ageing (hate that term) line. The cream promises radiance and smoothing benefits for all skin types. This sample is 15ml so based on the regular size it is worth €18.
The one makeup product in this box is a full size New CID Cosmetics Lip and Cheek Tint Crayon. I got the shade Rose Tint which is a lovely pink toned nude. I’m a big fan of multi-purpose crayon. This products is full size so is worth €17.50.
The final product in this box is a Soothing Touch Recovery Balm from a brand called Monu. This product sounds right up me street as I have quite sensitive skin. This balm promises to soothe and hydrate sensitised skin. This sample size is 30ml which is worth €16.
So all in all this box is amazing value. I’ve added it up and it’s worth €96.50. Considering I paid €19.35 in total with delivery for this box this is really brilliant value! I’ll definitely be checking out other Look Fantastic boxes. I really like that you can see the products before you order. Have you tried any of these boxes?
