In case you hadn’t noticed by the volume of Skincare posts I’m writing lately my skin is having a rough time. The cold weather and air con is making my skin dry and easily irritated. I have a fair irish cailin complexion that is very prone to redness so anything that promises to tackle said redness is right up my street.
I’ll admit I bought this product last year when I got a good offer off La Roche Posay but it lay forgotten and unopened in one of my many product drawers. I was rummaging through my stash with the hope of curing my skin woes a few weeks ago when I came across it. This product is described as a localised redness intense serum and is part of the La Roche Posay Rosaliac range which is aimed at helping skin redness. It comes in an unusual package in that you twist the top of it to open and close the pump but I keep feeling like I’m missing the lid off it!
When I started to write the review I googled the list of ingredients and I noticed the ingredients are simple enough. It contains Ambophenol and Neurosensine (a peptide that LRP researched) both of which are supposed to help red and inflamed skin. Apart from that I can’t see anything unusual jump out at me from the ingredient list.
When I apply this serum it feels almost silicone like on my skin but as far as I can tell it doesn’t contain any silicones. Skin does feel soothed as soon as I apply this and after a minute or so I can see any redness in my skin begin to calm down. This also feels nice and moisturising without feeling heavy and clogging on the skin.
If you suffer from red and irritated skin like me I would definitely check it out. It’s a nice topical solution to redness, I don’t think this will impact the redness in my skin long term but it’s great to have for those days when your skin is flaring up. This costs €20.99 so is reasonably priced for 40ml of product. Have you tried anything from the Rosaliac range?
