John Frieda Luxurious Volume Blow Out Spray and Shampoo

I don’t usually write loads about hair care as my hair routine is minimalist to say the least! But the lovely folks over at John Frieda sent me these products to try so I thought I would give them a whirl. Many moons ago when colour shampoos were the new product on the block I was a big fan of the John Frieda brunette shampoo so I was happy to give these a try.

I have very fine hair but lots of it. I struggle to keep a bit of volume in it and a few hours after blow drying it just sits on top of my head not looking particularly glamorous. I don’t tend to use too many styling products unless I’m heading out for the night and even then I’m not really sure what to be using. Of all my areas of beauty expertise, hair definitely isn’t my speciality!

I was sent the Volumising Shampoo and Fine to Full blow out spray to try. They sounded the perfect remedies for my lifeless hair. The shampoo is clear and fresh smelling and lathers well without having to use too much. I’m not a big one for conditioner as it tends to weigh down my hair so I usually skip this step. I’d say I use conditioner maybe once every two weeks! My hair looked a lot shinier so the shampoo must have helped with that as well.

The blow out spray was the real winner for me here. I sprayed it at the roots and just blow dried my hair the way I usually would. I always use a big barrel brush to try and get as much volume into it as I can. I definitely noticed my hair held more volume than usual and it lasted me a day for definite.

These products are a great affordable solution for perkier hair! You can pick up the John Frieda range from Boots. The shampoo costs €7.79 and the Blow Out spray €9.79. Have you any favourites from John Frieda?
