Ok lads, this has to stop… my beauty spending is getting very out of control! My mum was heading to Florida recently so I sent her off with a little shopping list for Sephora and I’m already regretting the things I didn’t add to it which is ridiculous – you have enough stuff Sarah!!! So I am putting myself on an 8 week complete ban on buying any beauty related products, that’ll teach me to get carried away. But don’t worry I will show you what I got in Sephora…
Sephora Collection Lips In Bloom Glossy Lip Pencil Trio $18 (€13) I am very fond of a lip gloss pencil. I own four by Soap and Glory and various other ones so I thought I would try out the Sephora own brand pencils. There are three shades in the set, a pink, a nude and a coral.
Josie Maran Coconut Watercolour Cheek Gelée $22 (€16) I’m a bit addicted to blusher at the moment, I can’t seem to get enough of them. The description of this one really intrigued me ‘An innovative coconut water-infused cheek gelée with up to 14 hours of colour and hydration.’ Coconut Water eh?! It sounds a bit different so I thought I would give it a try.
Fresh Soy Face Cleanser $15 (€11) I love a gentle cleanser so I liked the sounds of this and it gets great reviews. This is a gel based cleanser with no parabens or sulphates so I’m expecting it to be really gentle on my sensitive and dry skin.
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Diffused Light $45 (€32 – about €41 in Ireland) I have heard so much about this that I just can’t ignore it. I was going to get one of the blushers but I’m not sure they’ll be strong enough for my liking so I decided to try the powder. Its supposed to give your skin a lovely glow, I’m expecting big things so I hope I am not too disappointed!
Formula X Liquid Crystals Nail Polish $12.50 (€9) I’m already regretting not buying more of these! I will save the swatch for a proper post on it but it’s a lovely finish trust me. I wish I’d have gotten a few more of the brighter colours.
Bareminerals Beauty in Bloom Gift Set $36 (€26) I have never tried anything from Bareminerals before and this set had me curious, partly because it’s just so pretty. It’s a lovely set of neutral eye, lip and cheek colours for spring. I won’t ruin the surprise but I plan on writing a full post on this very soon. I’m not sure if you can get this set here.
Urban Decay Good Karma Optical Blurring Brush $25 (€18 – it’s €29 if you buy in Ireland!) I have wanted this brush for a while but found the price a bit spendy. I have a feeling it will be similar to the Real Techniques Expert Face brush but I thought I might prefer the shape of this one. I’ll keep you posted on how I get on with it!
I also had a Tarte blusher and a Deborah Lipmann polish on my list but Mam couldn’t get them in the Sephora she was in. She did well on the hunt though, thanks Mam!
Mam also took a trip to my favourite store Duane Reade and picked me up some drugstore bargains below as a gift – I am paying her for the Sephora haul don’t worry!
My haul also shows the price difference in cosmetics from the US to Ireland, I saved €20 on the two products I could have bought here. I will dutifully try out all of the products and get back to you with my thoughts. Let me know if there is something you really want to hear about and I’ll get testing!
