Oh now I am sure I won’t be the only one writing about this as the ‘Favourite Eye Palette’ for the September Beauty Blog Challenge (find out more about this here). I tried to be all cool and original and find a different one that I love as much but I can’t really ignore it I’m afraid. If you love neutral eyeshadows and I don’t imagine there are many women who don’t, you have to own this, simple as. I am actually probably wasting my breath as you all probably already own this, ha ha
The Naked palette contains 12 shades varying across the neutral spectrum. The case has a lovely velvety finish on the front with a mirror on the inside, I have mine about a year or so now and it’s still going strong. I don’t wear eye shadow much during the week so it’s probably not as used as you might expect. Below are swatches of all the shades in the palette.
Now I do only use a certain few shades in this I have to say as I am prone to getting into a day to day face routine rut! I mainly use Sin, Half Baked, Smog, Darkhorse and Toasted. I’m obsessed with the gold Half Baked and have been using this a lot lately. The only shades I’m not as fond of are Sidecar, Creep and Gunmetal because they all have flecks of silver glitter in them. I am a bit of a glitter-phobe when it comes to my face but definitely not for my nails!
This is the original palette and it also came with a tube of the Urban Decay Eyshadow Primer Potion. I think I might be one of a small group of people who don’t like this primer! I just find the product very creamy and am not sure it adds any longevity to my eye shadow.
Overall though the Naked palette is such a staple for me, I turn to it for so many different looks day or night. I haven’t tried Naked 2 but I’ve heard they’re quite similar. The original Naked palette costs €44 but is worth every penny in my opinion.
