I am a bit of an Elemis fan I have to admit, I have yet to find an Elemis product that I do not love. I own a variety of scrubs, creams and cleansers and I love them all. I was kind of scared to try the Pro Collagen Marine Cream as for some reason I had a fear that it would be the one product I didn’t love but luckily that is not the case.
I always try to hunt for a bargain when buying Elemis as it is pricier than your more budget brand. But you can often find a discount online for Elemis on certain sites. There is currently a 20% off offer on the feelunique.com sale. I got this tub of Pro Collagen Marine Cream as part of set I bought in the January sales. It had been sitting in my beauty stash for a while but I finally started trialling it a few months ago.
This product is one of the bestsellers for Elemis along with my beloved Papaya Enzyme Peel. The cream contains a marine extract called Pavina Padonica (oh yeah that?!) and trials claim you will notice a difference in skin texture after two weeks. It claims to reduce wrinkle depth by 78% and increase skin hydration by 45%. The cream comes in a white pot and I think there is a pricey blue limited edition pot out this year to celebrate the products 10th anniversary.
I’m always a bit dubious about wrinkle/anti-aging creams and such, as I know there is no miracle out there. I don’t have a major issue with wrinkles yet – thank god! But I do have some fine lines and a bit of dehydration. I started using this cream about 6 weeks ago just at night time. The texture of the cream is quite light, a lot lighter than I expected it to be. But it is sufficiently moisturising for my sometimes dry skin without any clogging effect.
I was surprised when I actually did notice a change in my skin after about 2 weeks. My skin definitely did seem a little bit plumper and the overall appearance of my skin was definitely better. This has only continued over my time using the cream and my skin definitely looks in better condition. I would recommend this if you are experiencing ‘the first signs of aging’ as they say!
What about you, have you tried it? Or do you have any Elemis favourites?
