My Christmas Beauty Haul!

christmas haul

The great thing about being a beauty blogger is that it’s pretty obvious what my gift of choice would be! This is not something which has gone unnoticed with my loved ones so generally at least half my gifts are beauty related. I’m also really greedy and tend to buy at least one or two things in the January sales. So I thought I’d give you a peek at the lovely beauty gifts I got for Christmas as well as the few bits I couldn’t resist in the sales!

Clinique Moisture Surge Moisturiser – this is one of the best moisturisers I’ve tried this year and so I was delighted when Santa brought it. It’s really light but does a great job at moisturising. A little goes a long way as well.

Hylamide Sensitive Skin Fix Booster – I really love the Hylamide Anti-Ageing serum so I’m really excited to try this one out. I have sensitive rosacea prone skin especially in winter so I’m hoping to see a difference with this one.

Liz Earle Instant Boost Skin Tonic – I had this toner a few years ago and have missed it since it ran out. It smells amazing and leaves skin feeling lovely and refreshed. I use this after cleansing to tone my skin before moisturiser. I prefer the spray version of this and it comes in a really generous size.

Soap & Glory The Perfect 10 Eyeshadow Palette – my dad is no slouch in our family, my uncle wanted to buy all the girls in the family a present and my dad led him to Boots! I’m sure he also had a hand in making sure he bought me these lovely eyeshadows. I’m really like this palette so far and a full review is on the way!

Physicians Formula Happy Booster Glow Powder and PH Blusher – I was pottering around Carlow with my mam and happened upon a pharmacy with a Physicians Formula stand, there aren’t many of these in Ireland so it was a bit of a treat. They also had two big boxes of products which were on sale at half price so I snapped up the PH blusher which I loved at the launch here and also the Happy Booster powder. I got both for €18 bargain!

alpha h and michael kors

Alpha H Perfect Partners Collection – this was my main Christmas sale purchase as I’ve wanted to try the cult Liquid Gold for years. This set cost me just €27 and included a 100ml Liquid Gold, balancing cleanser and a candle. Can’t wait to try it out!

Michael Kors Radiant Rose Perfume – I sniffed this scent one day in Boots and totally fell in love with it not to mention the gorgeous bottle. So my lovely sister gave me this set for Christmas, I’ll be smelling only fabless.

I was a lucky girl as always this Christmas! Did you get any nice beauty bits from Santa?

Hi there. Love your blog and love reading all your posts. Would you mind telling me more about the Alpha H. I’ve read lots about it and not 100% sure what you are supposed to do with it!! Bit confused! Is it something you use at night or daily under your moisturiser? I think I might want it but just need more information!! Thanks.

Ah thanks Sinead! It’s more like a treatment than a toner. You apply it every second night after cleansing. I just pour it into a cotton pad and swipe over my face. It’s very tingly so if your skin is sensitive I’d be careful. I’ve only be using it for two weeks so haven’t reached a final verdict on it yet but so far so good! If you’ve sensitive skin and never used Glycolic products before I’d recommend maybe starting with Pixi Glow Tonic. Thanks for reading!! xx
