I think my skincare addiction is a little bit out of control. I have so much stuff but yet last weekend I found myself trawling the Feel Unique website sale for more new additions – the sale is amazing by the way. I think I have at least 10 cleansers and many serums and lotions and potions that I’ll never finish. But I just can’t help myself. I thought I would quickly share with you three products that are new to me that I’ve really been loving lately.
I’m just back from Tenerife where the family were celebrating my amazing Nans 90th birthday. She’s a real inspiration that having a positive attitude towards life is the key to enjoying it! I’ve been to Tenerife a few times and one thing I really like is the cosmetics bargains! Skincare and perfume tends to be a lot cheaper than at home and there are so many outlets they’re all competing on price. You can also scope out some nice makeup and I came across massive Flormar and Kiko stores. I couldn’t resist picking up a few bits so I thought I’d show you what I bought!
I’d like to start by apologising for my lack of posts over the last few weeks. I had to move out of my lovely apartment and things have been a bit all over the place. Moving is definitely not a fun experience! I find it very hard to blog when I’m stressed but fortunately things have calmed down a bit and my blogging mojo is slowly arriving back. So I thought I’d start back by giving you a review of the famous Alpha H Liquid Gold…
I’ve been looking back over the year 2015 and I’ve been thinking about some of my beauty highlights. Over the next week or so I’ll bring you my favourites in bodycare, skincare and makeup. I was mostly skincare obsessed in 2015 so I’m going to start there. Here are my favourite products that were new to me in 2015.
I was very sad when I recently ran out of my beloved Pixi Glow Tonic, it’s not the easiest thing to get your hands on, which is just testament to its brilliance. It’s now available in Marks and Spencer but any time I’ve been in it’s been sold out. I spoke to one of the girls working there and she said the stock is usually gone 30 minutes after they put it out! I was wandering through Boots recently and saw they had these Nip Fab Extreme glycolic pads on offer, so I decided I’d give these a try instead of Glow Tonic for a change.
I’ve slowly turned into a bit of a skincare obsessive but sometimes I get a little bit boggled from all the terminology and sheer volume of products that are out there. I’ve tried to listen to Caroline Hirons advice and spend most of my money on serums. I recently saw Caroline review this serum which sounded perfect for my skin type and so I snapped it up when I saw it on offer in Boots.
Well if I haven’t mentioned it fifty times, I’m just back from my hols in Peru. I had a great time but my poor skin didn’t, a lot of my trip was spent in desert or at quite high altitude and unfortunately those conditions just equal very dry skin. Everybody on my trip was glued to their lip balm and my poor hair was a tangled mess. Luckily the face on my skin was in fairly good condition and I know that was down to the skincare I brought with me. Even though I had limited space in my rucksack I brought some quality minis with me. Here’s what I brought to keep the moisture in…
I’m back! Sorry for the long break I swear I haven’t disappeared off the planet altogether, I was just on a long holiday in Peru! I really enjoyed my adventure, Peru is a gorgeous country and the people are so friendly, I highly recommend it if you haven’t visited. While I was on my trip I took a visit to the Peruvian jungle and I got bitten alive by mosquitos. I normally don’t get bitten but one found its way inside my mosquito net and bit me alive during the night. I woke to my legs covered in about 30 bites, not a happy camper! Continue reading
This one was a bit of a surprise and I just want to give a heads up to my fellow bloggers who might not know about this. Klout is a network that gives you a score for your social media influence and the amount of interaction you get on your social media networks for certain categories. I signed up for it about a year ago just out of curiosity as somebody in work had been talking about it.
The First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance pads get a lot of love from the blogging world so they caught my eye when I saw the Feel Unique Radiant Skin Box. I rarely let a scrub near my skin so I like to use acid based exfoliators which are a lot more gentle than they sound. I got a pot of 30 pads with the Feel Unique box so I gave them a test.
