I’m just back from Tenerife where the family were celebrating my amazing Nans 90th birthday. She’s a real inspiration that having a positive attitude towards life is the key to enjoying it! I’ve been to Tenerife a few times and one thing I really like is the cosmetics bargains! Skincare and perfume tends to be a lot cheaper than at home and there are so many outlets they’re all competing on price. You can also scope out some nice makeup and I came across massive Flormar and Kiko stores. I couldn’t resist picking up a few bits so I thought I’d show you what I bought!
I have wanted to try this for aaagggees. I had tried a few cheaper Beauty Blender dupes and wasn’t massively impressed but I couldn’t ignore the glowing reviews of my fellow beauty bloggers. My mam kindly brought me this back from her hols and I couldn’t wait to give it a try. Apologies that it doesn’t look the best above I broke the blogger cardinal rule and didn’t take photos of it before I used it and you can read about my cleansing woes below!
Well I am a bit of a sucker for a trend but as a beauty blogger that’s a dangerous space to be in. You have to be careful not to get suckered into buying every new trend on the block or it’s a surefire way to brokesville. The new cushion foundations really caught my eye though. I remember British Beauty Blogger Jane predicting this would be the next big thing to come from Korea a while back and I’ve been tempted to order one from my fave Korean cosmetics online store. However I was recently in a Kiko store in France and spotted their new cushion foundation and decided to give it a whirl.
One of my favourite Irish Bloggers Makeup Monster has raved for a long time about the amazingness of these BB creams. I do like a bit of a BB cream because they act as a light foundation while protecting your skin with an SPF. I recently read another review of these by Total Makeup Addict and that gave me the final push to order these!
I like my foundation long lasting. I want to put it on in the morning and have it still look pretty good by the evening. At most I will powder my nose in the middle of the day but I’m not one for retouching. Revlon Colorstay has been my staple foundation for almost a year now but I recently reached the end of my bottle and didn’t have a new one to hand. I decided to explore my foundation stash and try a different one. I came upon a tube of Estee Lauder Doublewear light which I hadn’t used in a while so thought I’d put it to the test.
Well I know this foundation probably isn’t news to a lot of people but I just bought it recently and it is definitely post worthy! Revlon Colorstay gets good reviews and I was curious to try it as I’ve been having problems with my foundation lasting a full day in work. I had gone back to my trusty Estee Lauder Doublewear Light but I ran out of this and thought I’d try a slightly cheaper alternative.
