Well if you’re going to buy me a present it will come as no shock that beauty products are probably the best choice. My friend Steph really hit the jackpot for my birthday as she bought me a selection of goodies from Makeup Revolution – yay! This palette is the one that got the most oohs and ahhhs from me when I opened it. I already own two Makeup Revolution palettes so I know how good they are. Here is a peek at the gorgeousness!
I was tempted by the Rimmel Brow This Way Styling Gel as a friend raved about the Benefit Gimme Brow and I figured this could be a budget dupe. I’ve always filled my brows with powder as I feel I have more control over it. I know people love a strong brow but I prefer when they don’t look too overdone, so I was a bit worried how strong this might look. Here’s how I got on with it.
I’m a bit fussy about my mascaras. I wear contact lenses and my eyes dry out easily so I really need a mascara that won’t irritate my eyes. For years I have been a huge advocate of Max Factor mascaras. I’m a big fan of the classic 2000 calorie mascara which just proves if it ain’t broke don’t fix it! However I recently got this Better Than Sex mascara from Too Faced in my last British Beauty Blogger beauty box and I thought I’d have to give it a whirl.
In case you haven’t noticed I am loving new kid on the block Makeup Revolution a lot! The products I have tried so far have just been so great and are much higher quality than their price tag would lead you to believe. Their liquid blush that I reviewed here is fab, I’ve been using it so much. Makeup Revolution released a collection of limited edition palettes a few months back and I just loved the colours in this Run Boy Run palette and couldn’t resist picking it up as part of my last haul.
I am LOVING Makeup Revolution at the moment! If you haven’t heard about them yet they’re a budget makeup brand that launched in the UK at the start of the year. You can read my experiences with them so far here. I recently got my British Beauty Blogger dream box here and was delighted to get this Makeup Revolution palette as a part of it.
Wet n Wild made a splash (puntastic sorry!) when they landed in Ireland at the start of the year. They’re a budget brand that has been in the US for years but the beauty blogging world got very excited when their arrival here was imminent. It’s a range of good quality colourful cosmetics that don’t cost the earth. I recently went to an event hosted by them and was lucky to get this eye shadow palette as part of a goodie bag I got.
Makeup Revolution are really shaking up makeup land. They are producing good quality cosmetics at veerrry affordable prices. They’re also producing some makeup that might look very familiar to you with dupe being shouted for many different brands including the Urban Decay Naked palettes and some popular MAC and Illamasqua lipsticks. Here is the product that first caught my eye…
I was such a lucky duck this Christmas I got some lovely bits for my makeup collection. My sister came up trumps and bought me the amazeballs Vice 2 palette from Urban Decay. You know any palette from Urban Decay is going to be exciting and I was delighted to get this one as it’s something different to the Naked range.
Sleek has very recently arrived in Ireland as there is now a counter in Boots Liffey Valley. You were always able to order it online but it’s super handy now. I was doing my big Christmas pressie shop in Liffey Valley and treated myself to a few bits from Sleek. I bought a lip balm, lip gloss and this palette.
