I’m just back from Tenerife where the family were celebrating my amazing Nans 90th birthday. She’s a real inspiration that having a positive attitude towards life is the key to enjoying it! I’ve been to Tenerife a few times and one thing I really like is the cosmetics bargains! Skincare and perfume tends to be a lot cheaper than at home and there are so many outlets they’re all competing on price. You can also scope out some nice makeup and I came across massive Flormar and Kiko stores. I couldn’t resist picking up a few bits so I thought I’d show you what I bought!
It’s been a while since I’ve brought you some of my latest favourite products. Some of these are brand new to me and some have been knocking around in my stash to be discovered again. The one benefit of moving recently was I found many products I had completely forgotten about!
Well it’s probably no secret that I’m a big fan of the Revlon Colorstay foundation. It’s the only foundation I’ve tried so far that has the exact colour, consistency and coverage I’m looking for. It’s quite high coverage but doesn’t feel to heavy on my skin it also gets me through a full day at the office which is what I look for in a foundation. So when I needed a new heavy duty concealer I knew I’d have to give the Colorstay version a whirl.
Occasionally a product comes into my life that makes me wonder why I haven’t found it sooner! I read a few reviews of this recently but it was Pink Elephant Blogs comparison with YSL Touche Eclat that had me sold. My local chemist had a 25% off offer recently so it would have been foolish not to have picked this up!
Now I’m not sure that this product will be breaking news for everyone but it’s one of those products that I’ve been meaning to pick up forever. It’s a concealer pen by Aldis beauty brand Lacura. I couldn’t resist as I was picking up some not so glamorous cotton wool beside it. For €4.99 it wasn’t going to bust the shopping budget.
It’s actually quite fancy looking for a supermarket brand. It comes in a sleek black pen, similar to the Yves Saint Laurent brush pen, although no metal feel here, it’s plastic! It has the same click bottom system as Touche Eclat and you have to click it a few times to get the concealer moving.
