If you’re a beauty fanatic like me you usually have a mental list of products you want to try. The Buff Makeup Sheer Glo has been on my mental wishlist for months now since I swatched it at their blogger evening last summer. So I added it to my Christmas list which usually exclusively consists of beauty products and Santa was kind enough to deliver.
If you haven’t heard of Buff Makeup before it’s an Irish makeup brand created by Paul Hession of Hession Hairdressing in conjunction with pro makeup artist Paula Callan. It’s lovely to use products that are homegrown in Ireland especially when they’re of such great quality.
Sheer Glo is a liquid face and body luminiser. It comes in a sleek black tube with a really sturdy pump so the packaging is definitely a winner with me. What I really love about this is the dewy finish it gives without any glitter in it. I can’t stand highlighting products that have a shimmery or glittery finish to them. This product has a similar finish to MAC Strobe Cream but with a slightly more golden tone to it whereas I find strobe cream can lean to a blue tone.
I use this alone on my cheekbones and collarbones or I have also started mixing it with my Revlon Colorstay foundation to give more of a dewy finish. This has a lovely moisturising feel to it so it is great for anyone with more dry skin but I don’t think it would clog oilier skin either. I know I’m going to be getting loads more use out of this as we come into summer to keep skin looking bright.
This product isn’t cheap at €32 but for this you do get 50ml of product which will last for ages. Sheer Glo comes in three other shades Paradise and Fake It which are suited for more dark skin tones and Pink Glo which has more of a pink tone to it. You can buy Buff Makeup online from www.buffmakeup.com or at the Hession Hairdressing salon. Let me know if you’ve tried anything from the brand.
