Buff Makeup – Beauty for Bloggers

Buff Makeup Beauty for Bloggers Event

I was really lucky to be invited to an event last week by Buff Makeup. It’s a brand I was aware of but had never tried so I was keen to go and have a nosy. The event was held in the swanky Westbury hotel. In all my years living in Dublin I had surprisingly never set foot in the Westbury but it is fancy pants.

At the event we were treated to some demos using the Buff Makeup products. One of the makeup artists Jessica did a quick smoky eye look. She did this by drawing on the lid with a kohl pencil and buffing it out with shadow. This is a technique I practised when I did my LA Makeup Course and it’s a really quick way to get a smoky look. She also did the eyes before applying foundation. This is a great way to prevent lots of fallout and unintentional smudging around the eyes.

What about the products themselves? We had a lovely array of treats to play with during the demo and I gladly did so while sipping my Rose. My new product obsession is the Sheer Glo Luminiser – oh yes you will be mine! It’s a delicate highlighting cream that you can apply under or over your foundation. It is just gorgeous. It gives a lovely luminous sheen to skin without any glitter, I am going to order this product asap. It costs €32 but the bottle is huge and I’d imagine it would last ages. It comes in three shades but I think the first shade Movie Star below would suit my skin best.

Jessica did some amazing contouring on the Kendal Jenner lookalike model! As a result the other product I’m now obsessed with getting hold of is the coral blusher. It gives a gorgeous coral flush with a hint of sheen. I just love I, I definitely need to add this to my massive selection of coral blushers.

I was really lucky to be given a little goody bag from the Buff Makeup girls and it contained a HD foundation. I’ve seen great reviews of the HD foundation and I’m really excited to give this a try, so I will do a full post when I’ve put it to the test! I also got the cute nude lipstick below in Femme (€18) and the lovely brown sparkle shadow Frisky (€15).

It was a great evening, I picked up some great tips and I got to catch up with some of my blogger pals. You can see the full Buff Makeup range and order it online here. Have you tried anything from the range?
