I was doing a bit of a clear out of my stash the other day and it made me realise how many products I own or have owned in the past from Elemis. It’s a brand that I really like and have had a lot of success with over the years. Elemis is a British Spa based brand. You will mainly find Elemis for sale in Spas although you can buy it in the likes of Debenhams and plenty of places online.
I have been introduced to Elemis products mainly through various spa treatments I have had over the years. I remember discovering the yummy Monoi Moisture Melt after having a massage in the spa at Kilashee. The Monoi Moisture Melt is this gorgeous exotic smelling massage oil that comes in a glam red glass bottle. A little went a long way with it and I think I had it for a few years! If I had to pick I think below would be my Top 4 Elemis picks from the many products I have tried, I tried to make it a Top 3 but I couldn’t leave out number 4…
4. Elemis Pro-Radiance Hand Cream (€31) – Oh I will cry when this runs out! This is my special hand cream that lives in my bedroom. I reserve it for manicures and when my poor hands are parched. It’s really nourishing and smells amazing. The moisturised feeling lasts really long with this compared to other creams I own. It isn’t cheap but I got it as part of a set in a Christmas sale.
3. Elemis Melting Cleansing Gel (€28) – This is another scrummy product. It’s a gel based cleanser that turns to more of a milk when you massage it into skin. It’s great for my dehydrated and sensitive skin. It does a great job of cleaning but leaves my skin feel soft with no irritation. Also like all Elemis products it smells amazing.
2. Elemis Skin Bliss Recovery Capsules (€81 60 Capsules) - Now these are a bit of a luxury item! They’re small capsules that contain a facial oil. There are two versions the rose coloured day capsules and the green lavender night capsules. I had a small pot of these that I kept for using after giving myself a facial. The night capsules are the winners with the lovely lavender scent that will just send you off to the land of nod for you to wake with lovely nourished skin in the morning.
1. Elemis Papaya Enzyme Peel (€40) – This is hands down my pick of the Elemis bunch. For years I was exfoliating with scrubs but hadn’t realised the impact it had on my sensitive rosacea prone skin. I had a facial where the therapist used this and I wondered where it had been all my life. I assumed a ‘peel’ would be irritating to skin but I think the word is a bit misunderstood. The enzymes gentle peel off dead skin cells and leave skin soft and soothed. I can see the redness in my skin reduce after using this. It’s a must have for me.
Have you tried any of these products? I’d love to hear if you have an Elemis favourite!
