I got this little set as a pressie from my Mum for Christmas – thanks Mum! Last year I had the Sexy Little Stowaways set on my pressie wishlist but it was sold out in a lot of places. I love getting sets like these as gifts as they’re not really something I’d buy for myself. You get to try products out without having to fork out for the full size.
The set contains minis of all these products:
- High Beam highlighter 2.5ml
- Posie Tint cheek and lip stain 2.5ml
- Stay Don’t Stray eyelid primer 2.5ml
- Watts Up highlighter
- That Gal Primer 7.5ml
- Porefessional pore minimising balm 7.5ml
- Hoola Lip Gloss
- Hoola Bronzer
- Bad Gal Lash
- It’s Potent Eye Cream
I haven’t tried all of the products in this yet but the ones I’m most excited about are Watts Up, Hoola Bronzer and That Gal. I’m really pleasantly surprised by Watts Up, the mini packaging is very cute and it’s a nice warm golden highlighter. It’s warmer and more strongly pigmented than High Beam and I’m a big High Beam fan. Hoola is a bit of a cult Benefit product and I’m excited to try it, it’s actually paler than I though it would be but it should suit my skin tone.
I LOVE That Gal, It’s a brilliant brightening primer, it perks up and cools your skin at the same time. I love to use That Gal as a base if I have to top up my foundation during the day. I have heard good things about Porefessional as well. I’m just not super excited to try it out as I don’t have major pore issues but I’ll let you know how I get on with it. I’m also a bit unexcited about the eye cream as I don’t overly think of Benefit for skincare but I might be surprised!
Stay Don’t Stray is an eye primer to help concealers and eye shadows stay in place, this is definitely too dark for me despite being the Light/Medium shade. I will try it on my eyelids though and see how I get on. The Hoola gloss is a handy neutral brown with quite a sweet taste. I will definitely get use out of the Bad Gal mascara, I prefer Bad Gal to the super popular They’re Real mascara which I didn’t get on with at all.
Below are swatches of some of the products
This set cost €39.50 which works out at about €4 per product which isn’t too bad if you compare the quantity to the price for the same full size products. They’re such handy sizes to use for my day to day makeup bag that I haul around. As far as I know this set isn’t in the shops anymore but I though it was worth a look as Benefit regularly bring out mini sets.
Do you love any of these products? What do you think of product mini sets, are they good value?
