Ok lads, this has to stop… my beauty spending is getting very out of control! My mum was heading to Florida recently so I sent her off with a little shopping list for Sephora and I’m already regretting the things I didn’t add to it which is ridiculous – you have enough stuff Sarah!!! So I am putting myself on an 8 week complete ban on buying any beauty related products, that’ll teach me to get carried away. But don’t worry I will show you what I got in Sephora…
Ah and here we are the last post in the Best of Beauty Blog Challenge! The final topic is Beauty Bloggers and this is possibly the hardest one for me. There are just so many blogs that I love reading I don’t want to single out some and realise I’ve ignored others. But here are some of my favourite beauty bloggers…
Boots has been calling me for a while! I haven’t had a proper splurge in a while and I’ve run out of a lot of my day to day products. Payday landed on Friday so of course I had to pay a visit and here’s what I picked up.
Since I first saw these on British Beauty Bloggers site before Christmas I have wanted one! Nobody loves a nail gimmick more than me, anything that involves textures, smells, stickers, magnets and the like will be a bit of fun in my book. The parfumerie collection landed in Boots last week and of course I pounced when I saw them on the counter!
The parfumerie collection contains 20 scented nail polishes that range from fruity to spicy to flowery and fresh. I chose the delicate Lavender Soap shade as there was only a choice of five shades on my local counter and this one appealed to me the most. This is a delicate light lilac shade with a heavy pearl finish. I think it’s really pretty for spring. What’s more is the smell is exactly as described – Lavender Soap. It only smells once dry you won’t sniff it by opening the bottle. I must look really odd today as I keep randomly sniffing my fingers! It smells really lovely and fresh, kind of like the Yankee Fluffy Towels candle which I love.
I really wish I had smell-ternet and I could send you the smell of this but we haven’t invented that yet. Just trust me these are lovely and I’m going to buy more! You can pick them up in Boots or online for €8.99. What do you think?
This is the penultimate post in the Best of Beauty Blog Challenge that has been organised by Samantha at All the Buzz. This weeks topic is your favourite beauty treatment. My favourite beauty treatment hands down has to be a facial. I just love the feeling of having my skin pampered by an expert! Over the years I think I have had Dermalogica, Elemis, Yonka and ESPA facials.
I was excited when I recently browsed my local Catrice counter, there seemed to be lots of newness! In particular there look to be lots of lovely new nail polish shades and that is always guaranteed to put a smile on my face.
I got this product in my last British Beauty Blogger beauty box here, I didn’t overly take a huge notice of it and just added it to my skincare stash. I have never used anything from L’Occitane apart from their hand cream. But I recently was stuck for a mini face cleanser to bring with me to the gym and grabbed this from my stash and threw it in the gym bag.
Our sixth (!) post in the Best of Beauty Blog Challenge is here, hard to believe. The challenge is being organised by Sam over at All The Buzz, so drop by and pay her a visit! This week’s topic is Budget Bargain. I just love budget beauty!! It’s so great when you can get a high quality product at a bargain price.
I really am like a bit of a magpie when it comes to my nail polishes, anything that is sparkly is a winner in my book. I spoke about my Models Own haul recently here and as part of it I bought two of the Artstix polishes. These are cool polish duos with colour on one end and a bit of sparkle on the other. It’s basically nail art for dummies and I am definitely a dummy with nail art. Below is the pretty combo Boogie Dream, you can buy these from Boots for €9.15.
I don’t usually write loads about hair care as my hair routine is minimalist to say the least! But the lovely folks over at John Frieda sent me these products to try so I thought I would give them a whirl. Many moons ago when colour shampoos were the new product on the block I was a big fan of the John Frieda brunette shampoo so I was happy to give these a try.
