The last month has just flown. At the beginning of the month I took on a challenge laid down by Girl Fridays Beauty Blog to blog every day in September. I really can’t believe it is actually over, I feel like I only started it yesterday, it’s just flown by.
I decided to do my own post for the September Beauty Blog Challenge today as I think I may have slightly gotten the hang of nail stamping! I got a bit carried away at the ploughing championships on Thursday and spent €25 on the Moyou Kitty Nail Stamping Kit. I paid €25 which is a bit pricey for the contents but what can i say I’m a sucker! I won’t try to explain how to stamp but it’s definitely a case of practice makes perfect. I found cleaning the plate and scraper every third nail worked best. I’ll admit the look below isn’t the best but I think with a bit more practice it’ll be a great way to create different nail looks. Have you tried nail stamping?
This is today’s topic for the September Beauty Blog Challenge. When I sat down and took a look at my collection it was hard to pick an item that was way more expensive than anything else. I don’t own anything super duper expensive. All my higher end products are in and around the €35 mark so I decided I’d pick three of my more expensive makeup items! Let’s have a little look see..
In the last few weeks my skin has started to get drier and drier. I have skin that is naturally a bit dry and I work in an entirely air conditioned office where you can’t open the windows, so my poor skin takes a bit of a beating every day. I have been using my heaviest moisturiser lately but I really don’t get a full day of comfortable skin with it.
Now I’m sure nobody needs any encouragement to help them shop but the topic for today’s September Beauty Blog Challenge is all about shopping. I do like clothes but my true addiction is beauty product shopping. You don’t have to get undressed and it won’t ever make you feel fat! So for today I have my top tips for beauty shopping and my favourite places to shop.
Today’s topic for September Beauty Blog Challenge is to highlight a brand you like or find interesting. I’m going to ramble about Catrice as I am a devoted fan since I discovered them about a year ago. Catrice is a budget make up brand that is currently stocked in Ireland in some Dunnes Stores, Penneys and some independent chemists. The parent company of Catrice also own Essence and you often see the two counters side by side. For some reason the brand is not stocked in the UK, they have just gotten word that Essence is on the way, so Catrice can’t be too far behind!
The theme for today’s September Beauty Blog Challenge post is hints and tips. So I thought I share my steps for a perfect manicure. I’d like to start by saying I am not a nail expert! I’m sure there are many talented nail technicians who might correct me on some of this but all I know is these steps give me the longest lasting manicure, I can get 4 days without a chip. I’ll also introduce you to my three nail secret weapons, which will now no longer be secret!
I love a good perfume, there are definitely ones that bring me back to different points in my life so I try to switch perfumes every few years. So I don’t have a signature scent as such but I like to pick ones that suit my mood. Here are my top three perfumes I’ve worn over the years…
Ah here now I am just a little bud in the garden of blogging as I’ve only been blogging a few months. But this is one of today’s topics for the September Beauty Blog Challenge so I thought I would write it from a newbie perspective. This is what I have learned about blogging so far and some small titbits of advice. I’m sure my seasoned blogger friends would have plenty more to add so I recommend following the #SBBC on twitter for more advice.
