15 before 2015

15 before 15 allI was prompted to write this post after this great one written by Sinead from Viva Adonis here, In the post Sinead picked 15 products from her beauty stash that she wants to use up by 2015. It’s a great time of year to do this especially with Christmas coming it basically just makes room for more stuff! I’m also terrible for being flighty with my beauty products and don’t finish things because something new and shiny comes along. So here are the products I aim to finish before 2015!

Clinique Take the Day Off Cleansing Balm – I love love this cleanser! Its a great lightweight balm that does a great job at removing all kinds of makeup. I’ve been using this daily so I think I will make it through this by the end of the year, I’ll probably just buy another one though. You can read my full review here.

Bee Good Micellar Water – I got this product with my last British Beauty Blogger edit box here. It’s a really gentle micellar water that does a great job. I have been using this as a first step in my cleansing routine before I use the clinique balm. My only gripe with this is the longer I’ve had it it’s gotten kind of a sticky quality to it which I don’t like.

Skincare products to use up!

Image Iluma Lightening Serum – I bought this serum mainly to try tackle my pigmentation. I have to admit it didn’t make a huge difference to my pigmentation but it helped with my skin redness and overall my skin looks brighter. My skin also feels more plump and nourished. I think I will miss this when it’s gone, you can read my full review here.

La Roche Posay Redermic R – This is another product that I got in my latest British Beauty Blogger box. I’ve used it on and off but I think I need to use it more regularly to see results. So I’m using this challenge to motivate me to use this every day. I’ll let you know how I get on.

Elemis Pro Collagen Marine CreamThis is another product I use on and off so I probably haven’t given it a fair trial to see its benefits. It is very nourishing for dry skin though so winter is the perfect time for me to finally finish this product!

Elemis Papaya Enzyme Peel - I am a huge fan of this mask. This was one of my very first reviews on the blog I loved it so much. It’s a really gentle way to exfoliate skin and it also helps calm and soothe my skin. I usually hang on for the christmas sales to get an Elemis set with this in so I need to finish this to make room for a new one.

Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Lip Balm – I have this lip balm forever along with my millions of other lip balms, I really need to actually finish some. This one is the closest to being used up so I am determined to finish it. It’s a great lip balm based on the eight hour cream formula.

Mamma Mio Boob Tube Neck and Bust Firmer - This is one of those products I’m not sure I’d ever buy but I got this in a goody bag at some point. It smells really lovely and it is very softening on skin. I can’t really tell any firming benefits but I probably haven’t been using it regularly enough!

15 before 15 makeup

Soap and Glory Sexy Motherpucker Gloss Stick – I love these gloss sticks but it’s a bit ridiculous as I have them in every colour, I really need to use some up. I have both the Fuschia-turistic and Nudist shades that I am almost finished so I will definitely finish them by the end of the year!

Soap and Glory Thick and Fast Mascara – I really need to pay more attention to how long I have my mascaras! I’m pretty sure I need to finish this up soon so I will definitely throw it away at the end of the year if not sooner. It’s a great everyday mascara but I think I’ll buy my fave Max Factor 2000 Calorie next.

Yves Saint Laurent Teint Touche Eclat Foundation - I have probably had this foundation far too long. I don’t hate it but I just don’t love it, it’s just a little bit dewy for my liking. But I am going to finish it dammit, I have too many foundations in my foundation graveyard!

Elemis Pro Radiance Hand and Nail Cream - Have you gathered I love Elemis yet?! This hand scream is scrummy and so nourishing but again it is one of a bajillion hand creams I own and I need to start making some room. This one is near the end so I think I will finally say goodbye to this, this winter.

Palmers Foot Magic Foot Cream – The queue of body products not yet used is really long so I have to make some room. I really like this foot cream, it’s very similar to my favourite Burt’s Bees Coconut Foot Cream. It’s really thick and nourishing for dry feet and it’s good value, you can read my full review here.

15 before 15 body

Burts Bees Cuticle Cream – This is one of my desk staples. I keep it on my desk to remind me to use it and keep my nails in good condition. It’s really nourishing and I love the fresh lemony scent. I have a few other cuticle oils to try though so I think it’s time to make room for a new one.

John Frieda Volumising Shampoo  - Haircare probably gets the least attention in my beauty routine! I’ve a few products knocking around the shower and I need to make some room. I use this when my hair needs a bit of bounce so I should be able to finish it up during Christmas party season.

Soap and Glory Righteous Body Butter - I have so many body creams it’s a little bit ridiculous! This one is very much a classic but I’ve had a pot sitting in my drawer for a while now. I’m sure I’ll have no problems finishing this before Christmas. Probably in time to make room for another Soap and glory set.

So there you have it, 15 products I have to use up before 2015. I’m feeling pretty confident about it. I’ll update you in January to let you know how I got on!

I try to finish beauty products before opening new ones. But then I forget sometimes that I’ve already new items and go buy more of of the same!! I am bad at throwing it out if it’s not fully used
